About

"The five members of Ironwood Drive...showed a style rooted in traditional and gospel bluegrass as they mixed songs off their new album “A Place Called Home” with select covers from such names as The Dillards, John Denver, Waylon Jennings and more."

- The Pennsylvanian Musician -

Ironwood Drive is a bluegrass-gospel ban based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania featuring powerful harmonies and skillful instrumentation.  The band has continued to thrive with several new faces joining over the years.

Through pulse-pounding drive and songs sung from the heart, the band brings a new and passionate approach to the world of bluegrass.  From hard-hitting traditional covers to new curated material, Ironwood Drive seeks to introduce a new generation to a genre the band loves.

The band continues to grow its audience with 2025 marking the busiest schedule to date.  Since overwhelmingly winning "Fan Favorite" at Podunk Bluegrass Festival, the band has performed at festivals such as Remington Ryde and Upperco Bluegrass and will also be playing Blistered Fingers and Orange Army.

"Gettin' Outta Here" will be the band's third studio project, releasing summer of 2026.  A special thanks to Aaron Ramsey and Adam Steffey for their involvement in this album via Mountain Fever Studios.

Stephen Werner plays the fiddle and sings lead on most songs.  He is one of the original members of the Werner Family Band, which later became Ironwood Drive. Music and the performing arts have always played a major role in his life, as he has been involved in theater and choir since the age of 10.

When he’s not performing or working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Karis, or pursuing his ever-changing hobbies, which include gaming, mountain biking, pickleball, and motorcycles.

Gideon Werner is one of the original band members.  He started playing the banjo at the age of 10 and has never looked back.  He has won awards for his playing and helped to form a band with his brothers and Dad which later became the Ironwood Drive Band you know today.

He enjoys playing sports with friends and family, gaming, and other artistic endeavors.  Gideon, first and foremost, thanks God for giving him the love of music and the talent to pursue it.  He is also thankful for his teachers for guiding him, and his parents and friends for their encouragement and support.

Brandon Fox joined Ironwood Drive in 2021. The Covid pandemic opened an opportunity to prioritize music, and to play a genre he grew up listening to. While handling much of the behind-the-scenes operations of the band, he is also a board member of Seven Mountain’s Bluegrass and a student of the jazz composer/performer Pepe Gonzalez. With any remaining time, Apex Legends is the hobby above all else.

Jordan Beedle is the newest addition to the band.  He started his love of music at the young age of 5 when he started taking piano lessons.  He has since developed his skills by learning as many instruments as he can get a hold of.

Jordan started with the band back in 2021, playing the mandolin.  He has since been "promoted" to lead guitar and has started singing some leads and writing new songs for the band.

When not playing music, Jordan works as a certified Paramedic in Delaware and spends most of his time surrounded by friends and loved ones in Pennsylvania.

Silas Werner was born and raised in Lancaster County, PA.  He has been playing the mandolin for 12 years.   He is one of the original members of the band, but recently rejoined after a short hiatus.  Silas grew up around music starting with choral music with Lancaster Academy for the Performing Arts before following his passion in bluegrass.

Besides music he enjoys cycling with a local group called Lifecycles and dabbles in pickleball from time to time with friends.  He and his wife Brooklyn love sharing music with their community!

"A phenomenal group!" - Patricia

Was our first time at your concert, but hopefully it won't be our last.  Very talented group! - Charles

This band is awesome! I'm really glad I had the opportunity to tell the banjo player at Upperco how much I enjoy his awesome "driving banjo" sound! That's my type of sound! - John @ Upperco
